Hardcore & Soul (Paulina Hendigery, Inga Wójcik, Stach Szumski, Mateusz Sarzyński, Eternal Engine, Krzysiek Bykowski)
Hardcore & Soul is an exhibition initiated by Avant Art director Kostas Georgakopoulos, born out of a desire to capture the raw spirit, independence, and autonomy that define the Polish art scene. The exhibition does not have a single curator – every stage of the process, from selecting the works to developing the concept, installing the show, and making key decisions, was carried out by the participating artists themselves. The presented works span a wide range of inspirations, aesthetics, and approaches – from experimental forms to intensely personal narratives. What unites them is their authenticity, originality, and uncompromising commitment to individual expression that resists conventional institutional frameworks.
In today’s world, dominated by standardization, algorithms, and institutional formats, Hardcore & Soul stands as an act of resistance - a celebration of artistic freedom that defies market pressures and systemic expectations. The exhibition affirms that art can remain a space for independent voices, raw intuition, and unfiltered expression, responding to a growing need for authenticity in an increasingly homogenized reality.
