Polish Art Week
Berlin 16-23.06.2025

The Avant Art Festival — an international platform for new and experimental music and art — returns to Berlin for its sixth edition. This year’s festival expands its format through a special focus on Polish art, presented as part of the project Polish Art Week. Taking place from 16 to 23 June, it promises to be one of Berlin’s major artistic events of the season, featuring cutting-edge and uncompromising artists from Poland, as well as from across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Seven days of intense sound and visual experiences lie ahead, in which music becomes a field of experimentation and transgression. At the intersection of jazz, avant-garde, new tradition, improvisation and electronics, new fields of expression will be created, intermingling with painting, multimedia installations, performance and audiovisual art. This is an event for those who seek non-obviousness, openness and artistic courage. You are welcome!

Ludwig Wandinger (DE)

Berlin-based artist Ludwig is a genre-defying composer, drummer, and producer known for his boundary-pushing solo work and prolific collaborations. Following studies at Berlin’s Jazz Institute, he launched a solo career with releases on labels like Average Negative, Orange Milk, Gin&Platonic, Creamcake, and Light Years. His music blends experimental jazz, ambient, classical, and club influences. He has collaborated with artists across avant-garde and pop scenes, including The Notwist, Brodinski, and Elvin Brandhi, with releases on PAN, Genot Centre, Squama, and more. Ludwig is a featured artist at the 2024–25 Monheim Triennale.
