Antonina Nowacka (PL)
Antonina Nowacka is one of the most peculiar voices in new music whose singular practice touches on the ephemeral atmospheres, universal communication and resonances. With a background in visual arts, she approaches sound as a living material, sculpting subtle, minimalistic landscapes that invite listeners into meditative spaces. Through years of experimentation in natural environments and studies of diverse vocal traditions, she has developed a distinctive, hypnotic timbre often described as ethereal, theremin-like and deeply resonant.

Nowacka’s work draws inspiration from nature, dreams and otherworldly narratives, creating intimate and vulnerable soundscapes. She has collaborated with leading figures across music and contemporary art, including Sofie Birch (Languoria & Hiraeth), Nicolas Jaar (Weavings), and Agnieszka Polska (Plan Tysiącletni), and maintains an ongoing relationship with Unsound Productions.
Her performances have taken place in various venues and institutions worldwide, such as Lincoln Center in New York, Barbican Centre in London, Centro Nacional de las Artes in Mexico City, La Casa Encendida in Madrid, Bourse de Commerce in Paris or the National Opera House inWarsaw, as well as at international festivals such as Rewire, Le Guess Who, Intonal, and Full of Lava.
