Andreya Casablanca (DE)
Andreya Casablanca is a Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer-songwriter and visual artist. She first gained international recognition as one half of the indie duo Gurr, whose debut album In My Head won the IMPALA European Independent Album of the Year Award and led to shows alongside artists such as Arcade Fire and The Strokes.
In 2024, she released her solo debut See More Glass, a bold, genre-fluid record exploring identity, vulnerability and freedom through a distinctive blend of rock, pop and experimental sound. Her work is marked by an emotional directness and a tension between introspection and release.
Her recent commissioned piece Somebody’s Sins But Not Mine, premiered as a staged mass at the Pop-Kultur Festival, draws on Polish Catholic hymns fused with indie, industrial and psychedelic pop.
Known for her raw, unpredictable stage presence, Casablanca’s practice resists categorisation — merging sound, image and performance into a singular, expressive voice.
