The Avant Art Festival — an international platform for new and experimental music and art — returns to Berlin for its sixth edition. This year’s festival expands its format through a special focus on Polish art, presented as part of the project Polish Art Week. Taking place from 22 to 28 June, it promises to be one of Berlin’s major artistic events of the season, featuring cutting-edge and uncompromising artists from Poland, as well as from across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Seven days of intense sound and visual experiences lie ahead, in which music becomes a field of experimentation and transgression. At the intersection of jazz, avant-garde, new tradition, improvisation and electronics, new fields of expression will be created, intermingling with painting, multimedia installations, performance and audiovisual art. This is an event for those who seek non-obviousness, openness and artistic courage. You are welcome!

Olga Balińska (PL)

Olga Balińska – dancer, choreographer and performer. Graduated Western Academy of Beijing, receiving an International Baccalaureate Diploma with Academic Award in Higher Level Dance and High School Arts Award. During her stay in China she was also a part of APAC (Asia Pacific Activities Conference) Dance for 4 years, where she achieved Performance Award 2017- 2018 and Best Performer 2018-2019. She is an alumni of Fontys Academy of The Arts in The Netherlands, where she studied at first dance in the Contemporary Urban profile and then switched to choreography in order to focus on
creating and developing her own movement language and artistic vision.
