Wojtek Kurek (PL)
Improviser, drummer, producer, author of sound installations, music for theater plays and animations. Operates in the field of experimental, electroacoustic and folk music.
Programs his own instruments and effects in Max/MSP, where he transforms acoustic sounds into organic structures or in Arduino creating moving objects. He has released over 30 albums in Poland, USA, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Scotland. Kurek looks for his own expression in approaching percussion, improvisation and electroacoustic. He focuses in narration and time. His interest in sociology and philosophy translates into relations with both the audience and creators, social differences and conventions.
