Violeta García (AR/CH)
Violeta García is a Buenos Aires-born cellist, composer, improviser, and curator based between Argentina and Switzerland. Working across free improvisation, contemporary composition, dark ambient, and experimental noise, she combines extended cello techniques, microtonality, analog synthesizers, and voice to create immersive sonic environments. Founder of the label and concert series TVL-REC, García has become an important figure in the Latin American experimental scene, connecting artists and communities across Latin America and Europe. With more than fifty releases and extensive international touring, she continues to develop a singular practice balancing minimalism, intensity, resonance, and spatial sound. Her recent solo work, including the album IN/OUT, explores site-specific recording, alternative tunings, and the acoustic interaction between cello and architectural space.
